Hello! You’ve found us, and we’re so glad you’re here; it’s meant to be!
We are Ashleigh and Luke Holt. Welcome to our blog, Traveling the British Isles with Dogs. This no-filter, somewhat chronological space is filled with stories and misadventures of our travels across the beautiful British Isles, with our kids and two dogs, Badger and Fig, leading the way. Expect a mix of travel tips, dog-friendly finds, and musings about life with a big, bustling family.
We’re that cliche “ordinary family on an extraordinary journey,” if one can say one’s life is extraordinary while juggling three kids and two energetic dogs. Basically, we travel a lot. Usually together, too, so we get to experience every moment, compromises and all.
A friend once described us as chaotic but loving in equal measure, a disturbingly accurate bio. If you’re a fan of family chaos, brutal honesty, sarcasm, and parents who think they are wittier than they actually are, you’ve come to the right place. No, no, don’t run away just yet.
